Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Fitness class. Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is one of the fastest growing sports at the moment. The main reason for this is the ferocious brutality of the attacks and finishes. At Toughen Up we focus on the intense training regime needed to achieve the level of fitness the athletes need to compete in such a physically demanding sport. Our Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Fitness classes will show you the techniques needed to master some of the basic/ intermediate moves of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and these techniques will be then used in various drills to cement the learning and work all the muscles needed to perform the moves efficiently. This is not a combat class and the emphasis is on improving cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength, tone and learning a realistic useable form of self-defense. There is no need to register or become a member to take part in these classes just turn up and join in. The classes start on the 5th February 2011 at 12:15 to 13:15 and then every Saturday thereafter.
